This is “Los Muchachos”, the latest release of Sano, from Medellin, Colombia. A strangely swinging 12” with 2 heavy stomping downtempo tracks for those who know and those who want to learn - plus a mesmerizing “interview – remix” produced by Tolouse Low Trax, “Salon des Amateurs” resident and member of Kreidler. “Los Muchachos” is a house music short story – both tropical and industrial – about adolescence in Medellin, about kids selling their CD-Rs at undocumented raves, about drawing flyers and stealing kisses, testing substances and kicking stones, about bedroom production, about dance and more dreams and adventures of “Los Muchachos” - the kids.

about
A2 – La Grúa
“La Grúa§” will appeal to those who have been able to witness one of Sano’s unique dj sets of irresistibly pumping slowness, reflecting exactly these moments when something driven by a walking rhythm and a single yet morphing main sound just keeps you moving on the dancefloor. It’s the sound of the moving crane (La Grúa) outside Sano’s flat, like an endless scream of a dying beast or a concrete demolishing giant stretching its extremities. “La Grúa” is darkly distorted, built on a fat beat that swings elegantly like the smooth walk of a big cat, its muscles animated with every step.
